Feb 21st 2019, Woodbridge NJ – North American community of Indian Origin which included majority of organizations of the Indian diaspora came together to hold a candlelit vigil in the Royal Alberts Palace sponsored by the Federation of Indian Associations (NY NJ & CT).
The somber tribute included a flower filled memorial and included brief remarks from the Indian Consulate NY HOC Jaideep Chola, the mayor of Woodbridge, John McCormac who attended along with Councilwoman Nancy Drumm & Alok Kumar, President-FIA NY NJ CT. The event was open for all to pay their respect to the memorial banner and was concluded with a candle vigil with over 600 led candlelit vigil.
Sponsors and organizers of the event, the Federation of Indian Associations (NY NJ CT) along with the Royal Alberts Palace were supported by all major associations including Bihar Jharkhand Assoc. of North America (BAJANA), Indian Cultural Association of NJ (ICS Union), Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AICC), Telangana American Telugu Assoc.
