Uttar Pradesh: Two Kashmiri street vendors attacked in Lucknow

UPKashmiri, who was doing street vending in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, was brutally assaulted by the Sangh Parivar. Vishwa Hindu dal, a group of activists of the ultra right wing party attacked two Kashmiri who were doing merchants in Daligganj in Lucknow. The street vendors were watching the people wearing saffron wear and they tried to stop them. The case was registered by the Uttar Pradesh police and the case has been arrested.

Bajrang Sankar was arrested for assaulting the Kashmiri policemen. After the Pulwama attack, there are widespread attacks on Kashmiri in the country from the Sangh Parivar.

It was said that Kashmiri beat his men with a long stomach. When the locals complained that they should not take the law and not be beaten, the youth managed to escape from the brutal crackdown.


The arrested Bajrang Dal Zonkar is accused in around 12 cases including a murder case.

The Supreme Court had earlier asked the chief secretaries and the DGPs to take steps to ensure the security of Kashmiri in other states.

Former Kashmiri Chief Minister and National Conference Leader Omar Abdullah today expressed deep condolences over the controversy.

Omar recalled that these attacks were taking place under the Chief Minister appointed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Asked whether Omar Abdullah would be in this case, or whether it would be only your permanent ‘rhetoric’.
