Washington : The United States is preparing to take tough decisions to stop the spread of the deadly corona virus from China. US President Donald Trump has announced new travel restrictions on Europe to protect against this dangerous virus.
Trump said in his address on TV that all travel to Europe would be suspended for the next 30 days. He said that ‘strong but necessary’ restrictions would not apply to Britain, where 460 cases of the virus have been confirmed so far.
America also could not avoid the spread of the virus and so far 38 people have died. In the US, 1,135 cases of corona virus have been confirmed.
Trump said, “We will suspend all travel from Europe to America for the next 30 days to prevent new cases related to this virus from entering our country.” The new rules will come into effect from midnight on Friday.
Trump tweeted, ‘The media should see it as a time of unity and strength. We have a common enemy, the enemy of the world, the corona virus. We must beat it quickly and safely. Nothing is more important to me than the life and safety of American citizens. ‘
