New Delhi: Bollywood’s famous musician Wajid Khan has passed away at the age of 42 years. He had a kidney problem for a long time. Wajid, who was close to Salman Khan, was admitted to the hospital on the night of 31 May. With the death of Wajid, a disjointed pair of two musician brothers have broken up forever. Sajid-Wajid first started his career with Salman Khan’s 1998 film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.
Wajid stepped into Bollywood with this film as composer and his last song was also named after Salman Khan. All the songs of Dabangg 3 were composed in the composition of Wajid. Not only this, he also sang many songs for Salman Khan as a singer. In which ‘Hamka Pini Hai’ and ‘Mera Hi Jalwa’ were the biggest hits. Wajid’s blockbuster songs include ‘Soni De Nakhre, MashaAllah, Do You Wanna Partner’, which is not easy for anyone to forget. He was also awarded the Filmfare Award in 2011 for his strong music in the film Dabangg.
Multi-talented The Wajid Khan
Recently, Sajid-Wajid duo have given music in two songs of Salman Khan. ‘Bhai-Bhai and Pyaar Karona’ has become the last gift for Salman on behalf of Wajid. Wajid was rich in versatility. He kept people crazy with his music as well as his voice. Salman used to like him very much. Therefore, in most of his films, he gave opportunity to Wajid. Wajid has sung in many films including Dabangg, Veer, God Tussi Great Ho, No Problem and Partner. The duo of Sajid-Wajid made many films including ‘Ek Tha Tiger, Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2, Tumko Na Forgone, Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Wanted, Main and Mrs. Khanna, Veer.
Music given to Sonu’s ‘Deewana’
The Sajid-Wajid duo, who debuted in 1998 with ‘Pyaar Kya To Darna Kiya’, also performed music on Sonu Nigam’s album ‘Deewana’. The music of this album was well received. This year both brothers worked as music directors in Hello Brother. Also wrote two songs for the film.

Sajid-Wajid is the son of the famous tabla player Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan. Wajid was also a mentor in the reality show ‘Saregamapa Singing Superstar, Saregamapa 2012 and he also made the title track for the television reality shows Bigg Boss-4 and Bigg Boss 6. Apart from this, this pair of brothers also prepared the theme song of IPL-4.
