India will soon be able to stop water going to Pakistan, work on the project continues: Gadkari

New Delhi: Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that work is underway to stop the water going to Pakistan, and they will succeed in it. He said that after that this water will be available to Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari while addressing a virtual rally in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday said that as Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had emphasized on the river link project, on which the Modi government is working at a fast pace. Gadkari said, I had nine projects hanging since 1970 when I was the Minister of Water Resources. States like Punjab, UP, Haryana etc. were quarreling, due to which Pakistan was getting benefit. We completed seven projects out of nine. India and Pakistan got three rivers during the agreement, but the water of India’s rivers was going to Pakistan.

Nitin Gadkari said, Prime Minister Modi told me that somehow solve the water issue. I called the Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan to end the disputes and started seven projects. With this we will be able to stop the water going to Pakistan. Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab will get this water.

Gadkari said that “the work that Congress could not do in 55-60 years was done by the Modi government in five years. After 1947, parties emerged on the basis of three ideologies in the country. The ideology of socialism, communism and capitalism emerged. The contemplation of the first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was influenced by the Communism model of Russia. He chose the Russian model. The policies adopted by the Congress in the 55 years after 1947 could not develop the country. Today, socialists are nowhere to be seen. The condition of China and Russia, which the communists say, is such that only the red flag is seen there, and the communists do not see it. ”

The former BJP president said that “China too, except communist ideology, laid the foundation for development by adopting capitalist ideology. Three models of communism, socialism and capitalist have come to an end in the world. The socio-economic thought that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya gave as Bharatiya Jana Sangh. We had the concept of their progress as the centerpiece of the poor, we accepted it. We chose the modern ideology in the modern and western ideology. “
