J&K: Terrorists fleeing in Pathanpora, Budgam, encounter was going on with security forces

Budgam:   Today, security forces are encountering militants in the valley again. Yesterday 5 terrorists were killed in Shopian. Encounter continues in Pathanpora village of Budgam. Security forces have surrounded the terrorists. 

An encounter between security forces and militants is going on in Pathanpora village of Central Kashmir, Budgam district. The encounter started at midnight.

A police officer said that such input was received that some terrorists are hiding in this area. After this, the joint team of Police Army and CRPF started cordon-and-search-operation in Pathanpora.

The terrorists also fired on the security forces. After which the joint team retaliated. The police have confirmed that bullets were fired from side to side between the joint team and the terrorists.

But the firing stopped in the morning after which search is going on now. Right now, bullets have not been fired by the terrorists. However, search is going on in this area. 

According to the police, the militants have left the weapon after fleeing for several hours.
