Yash Raj Films’ casting director questioned in Sushant suicide case: Police

Mumbai:  Mumbai police is questioning the casting director of Yash Raj Films at Bandra police station in the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The official gave this information on Saturday.

He told that the police is investigating that there was no professional enmity, due to which actor Sushant Singh Rajput went into depression. After the police sent summons, casting director Shanu Sharma reached the police station on Saturday afternoon. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-9) Abhishek Trimukhe said, “Shanu Sharma is associated with Yash Raj Films as casting director and he is being questioned at Bandra police station.”

Another official said that representatives of some more film production houses can also be called for questioning in the next few days. Sources said that Sharma is the popular casting director of Bollywood and it is he who identified the talent of Ranveer Singh, Arjun Cooper, Vani Kapoor and got a chance in Yash Raj Films.

Sharma had worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in Yash Raj Films’ Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Vyomkesh Bakshi. After Rajput’s death, Yash Raj Films submitted a copy of the contract with Sushant to the police. Let us tell you that on 14 June Sushant’s body was found hanging from the noose in his apartment at Branda.
