Corona’s havoc: 85% cases and 87% death cases in these 8 states

New Delhi: The number of patients infected with coronavirus in the country has crossed the 5 lakh mark. The number of infected people is increasing rapidly. On Saturday, the maximum number of 18,552 cases were reported in a single day. So far 15,685 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry , 85.5% of the patients of Kovid-19 across the country and 87 percent of the total deaths due to this epidemic in the country are from eight states including Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu.  

The ministry said in a statement, “At present, out of eight states – Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Telangana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal – there are 85.5 percent of the total number of patients suffering from the disease, while 87 percent of deaths due to the epidemic in the country. Are also recorded in these states. ” 

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in the country is improving rapidly and now it is more than 58 percent, while the death rate due to infection is around three percent. He said, “About three lakh patients of Covid-19 have become infection-free. Most of the remaining patients are also infection-free. We have a mortality rate of around three percent, which is the lowest in the world.” He told that the doubling rate has also improved and now it is 19 days. 

The ministry, deployed to help the 15 central party states , said that during its 17th meeting of GoM, it has increased the rate of epidemic recovery and death rate as well as double the rate of infection cases and number of investigations in various states. Gave information about going. He told the GoM that 15 central teams comprising public health experts, epidemiologists and senior officials at the level of joint secretary have been deployed to help the states. 

The ministry said that another team of the Center is currently touring Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana to strengthen the efforts being made for Covid-19 management there. The GoM was also informed about the usefulness of ‘ITIHAS’ and Arogya Setu App in locating people exposed to infected people and providing information about potential hotspot areas.

The statement said that it also told the Group of Ministers that the states and union territories are constantly being informed about the areas on which to pay attention. Also about prevention measures, monitoring, full use of investigative capabilities, focusing on the elderly and people already suffering from other diseases and how to prepare in advance for potential hotspots using technology. The ministry is in touch with the states.
