Last rites of Vikas Dubey, brother-in-law brought quietly to take body

Kanpur: The dreaded criminal Vikas Dubey , who was killed in a police encounter, was cremated at Bhairav Ghat electrical crematorium in Kanpur city on Friday. After a long time, no one came to pick up his dead body, but then the police brought his brother-in-law, who reached the Bhairav Ghat with an ambulance.

Many women had also reached Bhairav Ghat. It is being said that the police had also brought Vikas’s wife and son. Vikas’s mother had earlier refused to come to the post-mortem center, but she was also present at the funeral. However, no member of the family gave any statement, everyone’s faces were covered.

The last rites of development were dealt with immediately as his body was burnt in the electric crematorium. The final confession was given by his brother-in-law who is being told of Shivli village of Chaubepur. Why did Vikas’s son not offer fire, the police did not say anything about it.

Explain that the Special Task Force (STF) team of Uttar Pradesh Police, bringing the main accused of killing eight policemen in Kanpur from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to Kanpur, was killed near Bhatti in Bara Police Circle, about 18 km from the city. Vikas was trying to escape by taking advantage of the road accident by snatching the pistol of a policeman.

Kanpur Rural SP Brajesh Kumar Srivastava said that the body of Vikas Dubey has been handed over to the families legally after the post-mortem. Although we had invited villagers and family members to be present during the post-mortem, but no one came. The reason for this is that the living people were afraid of development.
