The country’s recovery rate was just 7.69 percent on April 5, which increased to 26.59 percent on May 3 and reached 47.76 percent on May 31. On July 5, the recovery rate was recorded at 60.77 percent.
The Ministry says that the number of patients recovering has been increasing steadily in the last months and now it is 3.55 times more than the patients under treatment. The number of healthy patients in India is 19,48,631 lakh more than the 7,65,302 patients under treatment. The ministry said that the recovery of people from a large number of infections ensured that the 7,65,302 patients under treatment now constitute only 21.60 percent of the total infected.
