Foreign Ministers of Russia, India and China held trilateral talks in Moscow in warm atmosphere

Foreign Ministers of Russia, India and China (RIC) held trilateral talks on Thursday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Moscow. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar tweeted, “Attended the RIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting hosted by Foreign Minister (Sergei) Lavrov in Moscow. Thanks for his warm hospitality. “Jaishankar also posted a photo of his Russian and Chinese counterparts.”

Under the RIC framework, the foreign ministers of the three countries meet from time to time to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues with their interests. Jaishankar is in Moscow on a four-day visit to attend the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting. Both India and China are members of this organization. Lavrov is the host of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in the Russian capital Moscow from Wednesday to Thursday.

Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Thursday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Moscow. According to a Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the two ministers had an ‘excellent’ discussion on bilateral matters and international concerns.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman said, “There was a great discussion on bilateral matters, regional development and international issues of concern.” At the same time, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also tweeted that he had a great conversation with Lavrov and he talked to each other on topics of international concern.

External Affairs Minister Jaishankar tweeted, ‘Very happy to meet Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Great conversations reflect special and strategic partnerships. There was an exchange of views on international conditions. Jaishankar is in Moscow on a four-day visit to attend the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting. Both India and China are members of this organization.
