തിരുവനന്തപുരം: സാഹിത്യകാരി കമലാസുരയ്യയുടെ സ്മരണാര്‍ത്ഥം നവാഗത എഴുത്തുകാരികള്‍ക്കായി കേരള കലാകേന്ദ്രം കമലാ സുരയ്യ കള്‍ച്ചറല്‍ സെന്‍റര്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയ അഞ്ചാമത് നിംസ് കേരള കലാകേന്ദ്രം കമലാ സുരയ്യ ചെറുകഥാ പുരസ്ക്കാരത്തിന് രചനകള്‍ ക്ഷണിച്ചു.

2013 ജനുവരി ഒന്നിനുശേഷം ആദ്യമായി പുസ്തകമായോ ആനുകാലികങ്ങളിലോ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച കഥയാണ് മത്സരത്തിന് പരിഗണിക്കുക. ലഭിക്കുന്ന രചനകള്‍ പ്രഗത്ഭരുടെ പുരസ്ക്കാര നിര്‍ണ്ണയസമിതി
പരിശോധിച്ച് യോഗ്യരായ അഞ്ച് പേരുടെ പ്രാഥമിക പട്ടിക തയ്യാറാക്കും. അതില്‍ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കുന്ന കഥാകാരിയ്ക്ക് പതിനായിരം രൂപയും ഫലകവും സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റും അടങ്ങുന്ന കമലാ സുരയ്യ പുരസ്ക്കാരം ലഭിക്കും. യോഗ്യതാ ലിസ്റ്റില്‍പ്പെട്ട മറ്റ് നാല് പേര്‍ക്കും ഫലകവും സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റും ലഭിക്കും.

കമലാ സുരയ്യയുടെ ഏഴാം ചരമവാര്‍ഷിക ദിനമായ മേയ് 31 ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നടക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ പ്രമുഖ സാംസ്ക്കാരിക നായകരുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ പുരസ്ക്കാരം സമ്മാനിക്കും.

മത്സരത്തിനുള്ള രചനകളുടെ നാല് കോപ്പികള്‍ 2016 ജനുവരി 25 നകം ലഭിക്കത്തക്ക വിധം കെ. ആനന്ദകുമാര്‍, ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി, കേരള കലാകേന്ദ്രം, വഞ്ചിയൂര്‍, തിരുവനന്തപുരം 695 035, കേരളം എന്ന വിലാസത്തില്‍ അയക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.

Kamala Surayya Short Story Award 2016

Entries invited

Kerala Kalakendram has invited entries for the Fifth Kamala Surayya Short Story Award, instituted for budding women writers.

Short stories published for the first time after January 1, 2013, as a book or in periodicals, will be considered for the award.

The award has been instituted by the Kamala Surayya Cultural Centre, functioning under aegis of Kerala Kalakendram, to promote women writers.

The award consists of a purse of Rs. 10,000, certificate and plaque. Four writers who reach the final round will also be honoured.

A panel of writers will choose the winner from entries to be submitted (send four copies) on or before January 25, 2016 to K. Ananda Kumar, General Secretary, Kerala Kalakendram, Vanchiyoor, Trivandrum 695 035, Kerala.

Award will be distributed at a function in Trivandrum on May 31, 2016, the seventh death anniversary of Kamala Surayya.
