Mr. Sudhir Chavan is the Son of Mr. &Mrs. David Nana Chavan of Pune, Salisbury Park, India. Sudhir moved to the US in 1986 with a Bachelor’s degree from Spicer Memorial College, India. He completed his second Bachelor’s degree in 1988 at Columbia Union College, Takoma Park, Maryland. In 1997,The Bowie State University of Maryland awarded Sudhir his Masters Degree is Administrative Management and then he further completed a second Masters in Counseling Psychology at Washington Adventist University, in the year 2015. Sudhir was also inducted in the International Honor Society in Psychology (PSI CHI) in 2015. Sudhir has also completed some PhD level course atthe Herald Abel School of Behavioral Science and is currently working on a third Masters Degree in Professional Counseling, at Washington Adventist University.
Mr. Chavan’s career in Health Care Management began in 1988 upon completing his second Bachelor’s degree in the US. His initial exposure to Health Care Management began at Washington Adventist Healthcare. He then moved to George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates and served in their Management Team in various leadership roles. In the year 2001, he was appointed the Administrator of Howard University Medical Faculty Associates -Faculty Practice Plan, where he managed the Practice of 40 plus Physicians that specialized in Internal Medicine and various other Specialties. Since his work at Howard University, Mr. Chavan has served as the Chief Operating officer of Advanced Cardiology Center, Rockville, Maryland and the Chief Operating Officer of Capitol Cardiology Associates, Lanham, Maryland.
As a business entrepreneur in the Health Care Industry, Mr. Chavan has helped physician groups merge with high technology Industries to promote unmatched EMR integration. He has also been able to integrate avenues of technology forinvasive and non – invasive Cardiologists to eliminate barriers to real time procedural data of patients that were continuing their care in various locations. To maximize efficacy in coding and reimbursement, he has integrated Physician Practices in the US with skilled technology groups from India and has created a path to foster knowledge sharing and business opportunity between the US and Indian businesses, specializing in Health Care related services.
Mr. Chavan was selected as “Who’s Who” in Executives & Professional, in 2002. In the year 2006, he received recognition from the County Chief of Prince George’s County, Fire & Emergency Medical Services for “Outstanding Medical Support” as Chief Operating Officer of Capitol Cardiology Associates. The Governor of the State of Maryland also recognized Mr. Chavan in 2004 for “Commitment, Leadership & Outstanding Efforts to Provide Excellent Services & Uncompensated Care”. Mr. Chavan was also recognized as the “Dynamic President of Adventist Fellowship International” in the year 1998. On June 9,2016, at the Maryland India Business Roundtable Conference, Mr. Chavan received an award as an “Outstanding Leader Promoting Obama Health Care” from Maryland Senator Susan Lee & Executive Director Elisha Pulivarti.
Mr.Chavan is married to a Master’s prepared Nurse who is part of the Leadership team at Dimensions Healthcare. He is also has a daughter who is completing her Pre-Medicine Degree at UMBC. As a citizen of the United States of America, he is proud to be involved in the “Obama Care” operations through a CMS contracted Agency making “Affordable Care” more a reality to the millions living in the United States of America.
