Apple’s first 5G iPhone won’t arrive until 2020

468918_51782996(Web Desk) – A shocking news comes today (Tuesday) from a familiar sourcethat apple has decided to pass on 5G for iPhone which would be launched in 2019 and may even do the same for the 2020 model as well.

Apple aims to have technology ready for an AR headset in 2019 and could ship a product as early as 2020, people familiar with the situation told Bloomberg late last year. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook considers AR, which overlays images and data on views of the real world, as potentially revolutionary as the Smartphone.

On the other hand, Apple s compotator companies, Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus, and many other are expected to launch a 5G smartphone in 2019, with some coming before midyear.

They will be the first phones to connect to a 5G network, leaving Apple behind in terms of connectivity.
However, the first 5G networks will not cover wide areas, and will be restricted to certain cities around the world. While carriers in the U.S. are promising 5G will be operational in 2019, widespread coverage will likely not come until 2020 or later.
