Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s Daughter, retired Prof. Anita Bose Pfaff will join GOPIO’s Shaheed Diwas (Martyrs Day) on Tuesday, March 23rd 6.30 p.m. (New York Time) where Indian Consul General will launch India@75, a yearlong Celebration commemorating the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

GOPIO-Manhattan and Consulate General of India in New York are celebrating Shaheed Diwas, a virtual Zoom celebration to pay tributes to martyrs of India’s Independence. You will hear Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s daughter Dr. Anita Bose Pfaff (Germany), Lord Rami Ranger (UK), Prof. Maya Chadda (USA) and Historian/Author Dr. Bhuvan Lall (India) along with music.  Please join on Tuesday, March 23rd at 6.30 pm (EST USA New York Time).

The program will start with welcome remarks and inauguration of the session by India’s Consul General in new York, Hon. Randhir Kumar Jaiswal. Other panelists are as follows:

Lord Rami Ranger, Member of the Hose of Lords, London – A self-made businessman and chairman of Sunmark Group, an international marketing and distribution company. He is also chairman and managing director of Sea Air and Land Forwarding Ltd. He is the Joint Chairman of Conservatives Friends of India in the British Parliament. Lord Ranger’s father Shaheed Sardar Nanak Singh stood for the unity of India and was assassinated by a mob in Gujranwala (in Pakistan) in 1947.

Dr. Maya Chadda, Professor of Political Science, William Patterson University, Wayne, New Jersey. Member of Council of Foreign Relations. Prof. Chadda is author of over half a dozen books. Her father had spent most of his time with Gandhiji in his Ashram.
