Hollywood actor Tim Abell recently released the teaser video for director Nirmal Baby Varghese’s Malayalam horror movie ‘Vazhiye’. “I am happy to unveil the teaser of #Vazhiye directed by my friend @nirmalbabyvarg1 whom I look forward to working with soon! ‘Vazhiye’ is the first Malayalam film to be shot in ‘found footage’ style of making. This experimental movie already garnered attention as the Indian debut of Hollywood music director Evan Evans. Newcomers Jeffin Joseph, Aswathi Anil Kumar, Varun Ravindran, Joji Tomy, Shyam Salash, Saniya Poulose and Rajan played the lead roles.
The horror thriller is written and directed by Nirmal Baby Varghese. The film is produced by Baby Chaithanya under the banner of Casablanca Film Factory in association with Vivid Frames. Midhun Eravil, Shobin Francis, and Kiran Kambrath are the cinematographers. Jeffin Joseph is the executive producer.
Editing and sound designing was done by Nirmal Baby Varghese. Jees Joseph is the project designer and Sanjay Thomas Chowattukunnel, Nibin Stany, Alen Jiji are the production controllers. Director Nirmal is a native of Kavummannam in Wayanad and he is currently adapting his own documentary ‘Thariode’ into a feature film titled Thariode: The Lost City. It stars international artists like Bill Hutchens, Luing Andrews, Alexx O’Nell, Courtney Sanello, Amelie Leroy, Brendan Byrne and legendary actor Roger Ward.
