April 8, 2022) &#8212; The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County (The Chest) announces its 2022 Request for Proposals (RFP) for grants.\u00a0 The Chest recognizes the significant changes area nonprofits made throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to provide services for current and an increasing number of clients.<\/p>\n<p>This year, The Chest&#8217;s grantmaking process focuses on a new set of priorities identified by our colleagues in leadership positions with local nonprofit agencies.\u00a0 The priority areas are:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Food insecurity for individuals and families residing in The Community Chest\u2019s service area;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Health and mental health services for all populations;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Education support for programs focusing on social, emotional and developmental learning loss;<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Programming to enhance preparation for college;
