\"\"It had been announced in the \u2018Nav Sankalp\u2019 in the Udaipur Chintan Shivir that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will begin on October 2nd, 2022. However, given the repeated and intensifying attacks on our democracy, our country\u2019s Constitution, the nation\u2019s institutions and the social fabric of our society by the Modi Sarkar and the BJP, the Congress party is now exploring the possibility of starting the Bharat Jodo Yatra earlier.<\/p>\n

The Bharat Jodo Yatra will cover a distance of around 3500 kms and go through about 12 states and 2 Union Territories. It will be a padayatra throughout. The entire leadership and cadre of the Congress party will participate in the Yatra. Many other yatras will join the main padayatra from across the length and breadth of the country.<\/p>\n

After 75 years of independence, the Indian National Congress pays rich tributes to all those who fought for India\u2019s freedom, those who defeated the politics of divide and rule, those who came together to give the country its great Constitution, and those who put India on the path of progress, prosperity, social justice and harmony.<\/p>\n

Today, as the politics of hate is being practiced by those who never took part in our country\u2019s freedom movement, and whose ideologies resulted in the assassination of the Father of the Nation, the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been launched as a nation-wide movement to unite;<\/p><\/div>\n

– every Indian who is committed to the protection, preservation and promotion of the values anchored in our country\u2019s freedom movement, led by Mahatma Gandhi;<\/div>\n

–\u00a0every Indian who is dedicated to fighting the politics of hatred, bigotry and polarization;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 every Indian who believes that instead of divisive politics, the focus of governance should be on providing productive jobs to crores of youth, easing the burden on crores of our families of the intolerable price rise of essential commodities, ensuring the welfare and well-being of kisans and khet mazdoors, and protecting our Jal, Jangal and Zameen for securing livelihoods and dignity for crores of Adivasis, Dalits, and other weaker sections of society;<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\u00b7 every Indian who is determined to uphold the country\u2019s Constitution against all odds, and ensure Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity for all, irrespective of caste, class, faith, gender or language.<\/div>\n
