Eastern Bergen County, New Jersey:\u00a0 The Community Chest of Eastern Bergen County held its third annual Golf Outing on Monday, July 10 at Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, New Jersey.\u00a0 On a bright, sunny day, nearly 100 golfers attended to raise funds for The Chest’s initiatives and to support grant awards to nonprofit agencies providing a range of services in the area.\u00a0 Founded in 1933, The Community Chest has strengthened the community through leadership and philanthropy by spearheading initiatives and supporting nonprofits that benefit people in eastern Bergen County, New Jersey.<\/p>\n

The day’s activities included a day of golf, followed by cocktails and dinner.\u00a0 Throughout the evening, a celebration, awards ceremony and a silent auction took place.\u00a0 Co-chairs of the outing were Matthew Bert Libien, Managing Director at Wells Fargo Advisors, and John Wilkens, Principal of Robert Wilkens Insurance Agency, a World Insurance Company.<\/p>\n

Volunteers were an integral part of the development and implementation of the golf outing that created a successful 90th anniversary event.\u00a0 Thank you to the members of the Golf Committee: Dick Kennedy, Matthew Bert Libien, Martin Huguley, Barbara Brensilber, Amy Gazley, Nancy Schonberg, Vicki Sidrow, Dr. Shelly Wimpfheimer, Franci Steinberg, John Wilkens, Mike Benedict, and Nick Makhoul.\u00a0 These volunteers provided invaluable support: Nancy Schonberg, Samma Faragalla, Eden Garrett, Cameron Garrett, Carol Goldberger, Barbara Bresilber, Sid Mehta, Gia Shin, and Anton Schermer.<\/p>\n
