As soon as the coach reached the platform, the metro engineers and workers constructing the station welcomed them with applause.\u00a0More than 100 laborers were happy to see the metro and were happy that the metro was standing at the station built by their hard work on Wednesday.\u00a0The metro coach was run on a 5.9 km stretch of the trial run from Gandhi Nagar station to Super Corridor station number 3.\u00a0When the coach reached each platform, its gate marking and distance from the platform were assessed.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the third rail track of the metro on the trial run route from which electricity was to be supplied, was charged.\u00a0<\/span>The metro coach reached Super Corridor Station No. 3, 5.9 kilometers away from Gandhi Nagar station, in 20 to 25 minutes, moving at a speed of 10 to 11 kilometers per hour.\u00a0During this period, the trial run also stopped at all the five stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Electricity given to coach from stretcher in stabling yard<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the stabling yard of the metro depot where the testing of coaches takes place.\u00a0There is an overhead third rail.\u00a0The 750 DC volt present in it is given current to the coach through a stretcher connected to the wires and is taken outside the yard to the third rail which conducts electric current to the coach.\u00a0Only by connecting to the third rail track outside the yard, the coaches reach the viaduct and platform seamlessly.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
