{"id":660140,"date":"2024-01-23T00:01:07","date_gmt":"2024-01-23T04:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/?p=660140"},"modified":"2024-01-23T01:19:20","modified_gmt":"2024-01-23T05:19:20","slug":"environmental-justice-alliance-community-meeting-to-take-place-in-hackensack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/660140\/","title":{"rendered":"Environmental Justice Alliance Community Meeting  to Take Place in Hackensack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-660142\" src=\"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Toney-Jackson-1-rotated-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/>Hackensack, New Jersey: The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) invites the public to attend the Environmental Justice Alliance\u2019s second community meeting on Monday, January 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\u00a0 The meeting takes place at The Second Reformed Church, located at 436 Union Street in Hackensack, New Jersey 07601, and is free.\u00a0 This meeting follows an initial meeting held on November 27, 2023 that introduced the public to this project that will help reduce future flooding in Hackensack and make neighborhoods in the city greener and healthier.<\/p>\n<p>During the second meeting, the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation will discuss actions the group plans to take this year to address flooding and increase green infrastructure in the City of Hackensack.\u00a0 Actions to be discussed include installing a rain garden at a location to be announced in the future and creating a green infrastructure plan.\u00a0 The NNJCF will discuss the impact of recent flooding occurrences in the city and will also present another environmental initiative under development &#8212;
