Religious statesman Rajan Zed has received \u201cPluralism Award of Excellence\u201d from Community of Rohtak, in a ceremony held at Rohtak (Haryana, India).<\/p>\n

Handed over by Raj Kamal Sehgal, Senior Deputy Mayor of Rohtak Municipal Corporation; it was signed by Haryana Institute of Performing Art Chairman Vishav Deepak Trikha, Pathania World Campus Chairman Anshul Pathania, and Maharshi Dayanand University Dr. Mangal Sen Chair Advisor Somnath Sharma.<\/p>\n

Award citation read: Community of Rohtak Presents Pluralism Award of Excellence To Religious Statesman Rajan Zed\u2014Who promoted freedom of religion worldwide, advocated interfaith understanding and unity, work fostered pluralistic societies and harmonious co-existence, nurtured unity, cooperation and enhanced understanding between seriously different faith traditions.<\/p>\n

Various community leaders spoke on the occasion and talked about Zed\u2019s work around the globe. Zed thanked the community of Rohtak for the honor and love it bestowed upon him.<\/p>\n

Global religious statesman Rajan Zed, who is settled in USA, has taken-up interfaith, Hinduism, European Roma (Gypsies), other causes all over the world. He has read opening prayers in United States Senate and US House-of-Representatives in Washington DC; various State Senates, State Houses-of-Representatives, County Commissions, City Councils all-over USA; covering\u00a0299 legislative bodies in 44 states. He was\u00a0invited by President of European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) for a one-on-one meeting to discuss Hindu issues and promote interfaith dialogue. He has been conferred with \u201cWorld Interfaith Leader Award\u201d. He is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, on Advisory Board of Interfaith Peace Project,\u00a0Interfaith Relations Officer of Nevada Interfaith Association, etc. He has\u00a0been panelist for \u201cOn Faith\u201d, prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced by The Washington Post; and produces weekly interfaith panel \u201cFaith Forum\u201d in a Gannett newspaper, which brings various religions\/denominations together, since February 2011. He has been invited and participated in World Economic Forum and has had dialogue with leaders of diverse religions and non-believers worldwide.<\/p>\n

Rohtak, which forms a part of the National Capital Region, found mention in 9th century CE.<\/p>\n
