Photo Credit: Hackensack Fire Department<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>(Hackensack (New Jersey) \u2013\u00a0\u00a0If you are seeking solutions to flooding in Hackensack, Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) invites the public to attend the Environmental Justice Alliance\u2019s third community meeting\u00a0on Monday, February 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\u00a0\u00a0The meeting takes place at The Second Reformed Church, located at 436 Union Street in Hackensack, New Jersey 07601, and is free.\u00a0\u00a0This project helps residents and people who work in the City of Hackensack to learn about strategies they can use to\u00a0reduce future flooding in the area and make neighborhoods greener and healthier.<\/p>\n<p>During the third meeting, Environmental Justice Alliance will focus on the upcoming green infrastructure plan for Hackensack. \u00a0Participants will learn about this important project to develop strategies to reduce future flooding, and how they can help influence the plan.\u00a0\u00a0Future environmental events in and around Hackensack will also be discussed.\u00a0\u00a0The NNJCF invites anyone living or working in Hackensack, who would like to be involved in addressing flooding in the city or to help beautify Central Hackensack through additional green infrastructure, to attend and participate.<\/p>\n<p>Light refreshments of snacks and soft drinks will be served.\u00a0\u00a0People may register for the event here,\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/EJA3rdMeeting\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/EJA3rdMeeting&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1707844774084000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0Lsn8Jbl-Uy6IVFw4i33Yf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/EJA3rdMeeting<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0For information about the meeting, contact\u00a0Leonardo Vazquez, AICP\/PP, Executive Director of the NNJCF, at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:leo@nnjcf.org\">leo@nnjcf.org<\/a>\u00a0or call 201-568-5608 extension 2.<\/p>\n<p><u>Green Infrastructure for Environmental Justice<\/u><\/p>\n<p>This community meeting\u00a0is part of the NNJCF&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Green Infrastructure for Environmental Justice\u00a0<\/strong>project.\u00a0\u00a0The project seeks to reduce flooding\u00a0and improve environmental conditions for residents in central Hackensack and other parts of the city affected by flooding.\u00a0 More information about this project may be found at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/GreenInfrastructureJustice\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/GreenInfrastructureJustice&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1707844774084000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1X2TbptXADdP1nrg-_tcPR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/GreenInfrastructureJustice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting is produced by the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation in partnership with the City of Hackensack and Greater Bergen Community Action, as well as residents of Hackensack and representatives from several organizations in Hackensack.\u00a0\u00a0The project is supported in part by The Funders Network, AARP, Valley Bank Foundation, M&amp;T Bank Foundation, PSEG Foundation, The Rotary Club of Hackensack, and other supporters.<\/p>\n<p><u>Donations Appreciated<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The NNJCF seeks donations to support the Green Infrastructure for Environmental Justice Project.\u00a0\u00a0Donations of any size are welcome.\u00a0\u00a0All donations received will be used to help create a community rain garden or other environmental projects benefitting the community.\u00a0\u00a0Donations may be made online at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/SupportGreenInfrastructure\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/SupportGreenInfrastructure&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1707844774084000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0vOHYJdqEHM5_l8fhm1ra9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/SupportGreenInfrastructure<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Contributions may also be sent by check made out to &#8216;The Northern N.J.
