Ranked Choice Voting<\/u><\/p>\n

Voters rank candidates in order of preference and eliminate the notion of a wasted vote.\u00a0\u00a0RCV also requires that candidates win with a majority of votes cast.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0RCV has been adopted in several cities in the United States, including New York City for primaries, as well as in 11 states and another five states with runoff elections.\u00a0\u00a0This form of voting encourages participation of more candidates and parties participating, ensuring all voters\u2019 voices are heard.<\/p>\n

About League of Women Voters of Northern Valley<\/u><\/p>\n
