Photo Credit: Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Hackensack, New Jersey) \u2013 The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) joins more than 1,000 community foundations nationwide to celebrate National Community Foundation Week from November 12 to November 18, 2024.\u00a0 During this week, the NNJCF, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, announced that nearly $28,000 in grant and scholarship awards were made in 2024.\u00a0\u00a0These grants and scholarships were recommended by fund advisors, reviewed by staff and approved by the NNJCF\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDuring our 26<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0year, we are delighted to support several organizations responding to the needs in their communities and making an impact.\u00a0\u00a0Since our founding in 1998, the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to nonprofit organizations and schools,\u201d said NNJCF Executive Director Leonardo Vazquez.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe thank the Foundation\u2019s donors and supporters for making these grant and scholarship awards possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The grant and scholarship recipients include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).Grant of $1,000 to help promote the prosperity and well-being of all Armenians.\u00a0\u00a0AGBU strives to enhance the Armenian experience and ensure its relevance in today&#8217;s world.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0CancerCare\u00ae.\u00a0\u00a0Grant of $5,000 to benefit Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp.\u00a0CancerCare\u00ae provides free, professional support services, including case management, counseling, support groups, educational workshops, publications and financial assistance to anyone affected by cancer. The DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healing the Children Northeast.Grant of $5,000\u00a0to provide quality\u00a0donated medical care to children in need.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonia High School to Jaden Marchan of the Class of 2024.$2,000 scholarship.\u00a0\u00a0The Class of 1964 Ralph Gregg Memorial Scholarship Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leonia High School to Sasha Raskin of the Class of 2024.$5,000 scholarship.\u00a0\u00a0The Paul Coopersmith in Memory of Frank DeLorenzo Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New Milford High School to Luke Bosetti of the Class of 2024.$2,000 scholarship.\u00a0\u00a0The Darren Drake Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stockton University Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0Grant of $1,000 to benefit the Stockton University Women\u2019s Soccer Team.\u00a0\u00a0The DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stockton University Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0Grant of $2,000 to support the Stockton University \u201901 Memorial Scholarship for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program that was awarded to Kacyi Meyer.\u00a0\u00a0The DeAnna Stark Pasciuto Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teaneck High School to Esa Gadson of the Class of 2024.Scholarship for $1,000.\u00a0\u00a0The Jannie Smith Legacy Fund.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">United Way of Bergen County.\u00a0\u00a0Grant of $3,000\u00a0to build affordable housing options for people in need by building affordable housing, providing concrete solutions to critical community problems, giving help to the most vulnerable residents in the community, and developing financial resources that address unmet needs.\u00a0\u00a0The Andrea Tilbian Halejian Memorial Fund.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><u>Partner with NNJCF to Pursue Your Philanthropic Goals<\/u><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_662854\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-662854\" style=\"width: 780px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-662854 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Grants-graphic-from-Canva.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"780\" height=\"527\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-662854\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Grants.
