The situation is such that the issue of last week’s notices to shops had not yet settled when on Wednesday, new sealing notices were posted in the Katra Neel area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Businessmen are pleading for help from the MP,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>which has heated up the market. Businessmen are constantly pleading for help from the government and the local MP. It is being reported that the MP has formed a team of nine businessmen to address the sealing issue. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has already sealed several shops in Chandni Chowk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the past month, sealing notices have been sent to approximately 100 shopkeepers. Mr. Bhagwan Bansal, General Secretary of the Delhi Hindustani Mercantile Association, stated that last week’s notices in Katra Neel caused widespread resentment among traders. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, 12 more notices were issued in Katra Neel’s Krishna Gali.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two of these shops were ordered to be sealed immediately, causing panic throughout the market. However, the two shops have not yet been sealed. Bansal stated that help has been sought from the Delhi government and the MP regarding the sealing issue. MP Praveen Khandelwal has formed a team of nine traders to permanently resolve the issue. This team will develop a strategy to resolve the sealing problem.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Devraj Baweja, president of the Delhi Trade Federation, said that the reason being given for the notices to shops in Chandni Chowk is that they are operating commercially in a residential area. This is not true. In fact, Katra Neel has been a commercial area for decades.<\/span><\/p>\n

The MCD was supposed to conduct a survey, but <\/span>despite this, sealing notices are being sent to the shops there. This is completely wrong. Baweja explained that in 2006, instructions were issued that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi would conduct periodic surveys to determine which areas are residential and which are commercial, but no such survey has been conducted so far.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
