Dr. Ram, a professor at Ancharakandi Dental College, was mainly living in hiding in Chittoor and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. He had disguised himself by growing a beard.<\/span><\/p>\n

He did not use his own mobile phone during his stay in hiding. This also made it difficult for the police to find Ram. A leader of the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh is a close relative of Dr. Ram. There are also reports that Ram was helped by his protection. Meanwhile, a Crime Branch team was conducting investigations in Karnataka following indications that Dr. Ram had crossed over to Bengaluru. Meanwhile, information was received that Dr. Ram had reached Kodagu. The Crime Branch team caught Ram last night while he was trying to move from his hideout in Kodagu to another place. He is being taken to the Kannur Crime Branch office for questioning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rajan, the father of the deceased Nithin Raj, said that he is happy that Dr. Ram has been arrested. Dr. Ram has a role in Nithin Raj’s death. If he had no role, there is no point in hiding from the police for so long. Rajan also demanded that not only Dr. Ram, but also all those responsible for Nithin’s death should be given appropriate punishment. On April 10, Nithin Raj, a student of Ancharakandi Dental College in Kannur, committed suicide by jumping from the top of the college building.<\/span><\/p>\n
