\"\"<\/a>New Delhi:<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The Congress, which took to the streets against the central government over the NEET paper leak issue, staged a massive show of strength in the capital Delhi on Tuesday. In protest against the lathicharge during the students’ Parliament march at Jantar Mantar, the party’s top leaders, led by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Gandhi, took out a foot march towards the Prime Minister’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. During this, many senior leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal, raised slogans demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the protest, heated exchanges broke out between security forces and Congress workers. To control the situation, Delhi Police acted swiftly and detained several senior leaders and activists, including Congress MP K. Suresh and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the protest, Rahul Gandhi shared his reaction on the social media platform “X” and launched a scathing attack on the central government. He wrote that he had gone to the Prime Minister’s residence to demand answers for the police brutality against young students. He alleged that the government neither wants to hold any accountable people for its failures nor is it willing to debate them in Parliament. Accusing them of plunging the future of the country’s youth into darkness, Rahul Gandhi demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and Home Minister.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi visited Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. The two leaders met with students injured during protests against irregularities in the NEET exam and inquired about their well-being. They also met with the mother of an injured student battling for life on ventilator support and assured her of all possible help. The Congress party stated that the youth of the country are being lathi-charged to suppress their voices, for which the Prime Minister should apologize to the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n
