The Guardians of Green 2026 CSR programme, kicked off as part of the World Environment Day celebrations, was able to distribute 5000 saplings across schools in Thiruvananthapuram, and 2500 saplings across schools in Kochi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students from SMV School, East Fort; GUPS Edavilakom, Murukkumpuzha; Govt. HSLPS Kulathoor; HS LPS\u00a0<span aria-invalid=\"spelling\">Pangodu<\/span>; GHS Poovathoor,\u00a0<span aria-invalid=\"spelling\">Nedumangadu<\/span>; Ayyankali-Panchami Smaraka Govt. UP School; GLPS Enjakkal; Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Peroorkkada; LPS Kuzhivila, Thannivila; Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Attingal; Govt. UP School, Kaniyapuram; Govt. High School, Plavoor; and Govt. High School, Chalai; received the saplings distributed in Thiruvananthapuram. Meanwhile, saplings were distributed among students from Kochi schools including Government LPS Irumpanam, Thrippunithura, Ernakulam; SNV Sanskrit UP School Eroor; KM LP School Eroor; GHS Namakuzhy; GUP School Vypeen; Government VHSS Ambalamugal, Karimugal; Govt UPS Kummanode, Pattimattom; Govt HSS North Paravur, Ernakulam, North Paravur; and Govt Higher Secondary School Pazhamthottam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/666986\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-666989\" src=\"https:\/\/www.malayalamdailynews.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Image-2-UST-Guardians-of-Green-2026-CSR-Initiative-Sapling-distribution-to-school-students.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>The distribution of saplings was formally inaugurated by Shilpa Menon, Vice President and Center Head, UST Thiruvananthapuram campus. The saplings were distributed among schools in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi by UST teams led by Shefi Anwar, General Manager, UST, Gayathri Nair, Practice Head &#8211; Process intelligence Advisory and Consulting service.\u00a0 Vineeth Mohanan, CSR Lead; Nand Sundaram, CSR Ambassador; Ramu Krishna CSR Lead, Roshni Das K, Senior Lead \u2013 PR &amp; Marketing, Kerala; attended the function. The initiative was able to reach thousands of students and reinforce the importance of environmental stewardship within local communities. All saplings were handed over directly to these schools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m glad that the Guardians of Green initiative, led by our CSR team, was able to reach more schools compared to last year. We hope to make this CSR programme a compelling story showcasing the company\u2019s commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and creating lasting environmental awareness among future generations,\u201dsaid\u00a0<strong>Shilpa Menon, Vice President and Center Head, UST Thiruvananthapuram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Guardians of Green initiative took a leap ahead of last year&#8217;s campaign, where more than 140 UST associates participated and 5,000 saplings were distributed across 15-plus schools.
