\"\"<\/a>New Delhi:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Political activity has suddenly intensified in the national capital , New Delhi,<\/span>\u00a0during the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament. The main opposition party, Congress, has issued a strict order for all its MPs to be present in both houses of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) compulsorily. The party has issued a strict three-line whip for the members of both houses, under which all the MPs have been instructed to be present in the House at all costs during the proceedings on August 10, 11 and 12. According to party sources, during these next three days, serious discussions are to be held in the Parliament on very important and sensitive issues of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with this, Congress has also intensified its efforts to keep its opposition allies united within the Parliament. According to inside sources, the party leadership has contacted the top leaders of all the partner parties of the ‘INDIA’ alliance and has specifically requested them to ensure 100% attendance of their MPs in the House during these three days. During the proceedings of Parliament for the past few days, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge have been adopting a continuously attacking stance against the government, and have raised sharp questions about the alleged silence of the government on the various student movements going on in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

This move by the Congress and opposition parties comes amid strong reports of a debate in Parliament on the controversial FCRA Amendment Bill. Political circles believe the central government may introduce the bill for discussion and passage next week. Furthermore, discussions are rife in political circles regarding the Constitutional Amendment Bill related to delimitation in the country. However, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs did not fully clarify this position when laying the details of the government’s expected legislative work next week, and in his official statement, he did not directly mention the FCRA Amendment Bill, women’s reservation, or any bill related to delimitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite all this, the opposition is in no mood to take any political risks on this sensitive issue. Jairam Ramesh, the Congress Party’s chief whip in the Rajya Sabha, issued a strict three-line whip, clearly directing that, “Very important legislative issues will be discussed in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 10, 11, and 12, 2026.” He ordered that all Congress Rajya Sabha members must be present in their seats on these dates from 11 a.m. until the House is adjourned sine die or for the day, and fully support the party’s official stance. This directive should be treated with utmost seriousness and importance. A similar strict whip has been issued for all Congress members in the Lok Sabha.<\/span><\/p>\n
