Accusing Rahul Gandhi of damaging the country’s reputation, he alleged that the Congress leader attempts to tarnish the image of India’s democratic institutions during his foreign visits. NV Subhash claimed that raising questions about the country’s constitutional framework, independent judiciary, and electoral process ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections is part of a well-planned political strategy.<\/p>\n

NV Subhash said that whenever prominent opposition leaders travel abroad, instead of discussing government policies as responsible public representatives, they begin questioning the country’s Constitution, the Election Commission, and the entire judicial system. He stated that the primary duty of a mature and responsible opposition leader is to maintain communication with the public and party workers while remaining engaged with issues within the country. Subhash asserted that the public is well aware of such political activities and that voters will respond appropriately to what he described as irresponsible rhetoric in the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n

Accusing the opposition of exploiting the country’s social fabric and sensitive public sentiments, he alleged that an atmosphere of confusion and uncertainty is being deliberately created to ensure political survival. He further claimed that, anticipating defeat in the upcoming assembly elections, opposition leaders have already begun expressing distrust in electronic voting machines (EVMs) and the electoral system. According to Subhash, this is an attempt to shift the blame for potential electoral defeats onto the voting process. He emphasized that repeatedly questioning the credibility of elections amounts to disrespecting the public mandate.<\/p>\n

Advising Rahul Gandhi to improve his political conduct and working style, the BJP spokesperson urged him to uphold the high standards of parliamentary decorum and democratic values established by previous opposition leaders in Indian politics. He noted that throughout the country’s political history, several distinguished leaders from various parties, including the Congress, have consistently maintained the dignity and responsibility associated with the position of Leader of the Opposition.<\/p>\n
