\"\"<\/a>Dubai:<\/strong> The conflict between Houthi rebels and the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen has once again reached a dangerous turning point. Houthi fighters launched a series of missile and drone attacks targeting several major cities in Saudi Arabia, prompting coalition forces to launch massive airstrikes on rebel-controlled areas in Yemen. This intense military confrontation has reportedly resulted in heavy losses on both sides and once again poses a major threat to regional stability.<\/p>\n

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea issued an official statement claiming that his organization had launched several missiles and drones targeting Saudi Arabian territory. The attacks reportedly targeted major cities, including Riyadh, Yanbu, Rabigh, Dammam, Najran, and Khamis Mushait, which are home to international airports, energy facilities, and strategic military installations. The rebels claimed that the attacks on Riyadh’s main international airport and facilities belonging to Saudi oil giant Aramco were carefully planned and coordinated.<\/p>\n

The Saudi-led coalition claimed that its air defense systems had successfully intercepted and destroyed most of the missiles heading toward Riyadh, Taif, and Yanbu. However, debris from the intercepted missiles reportedly caused panic in several areas. Shortly afterward, the coalition launched more than 100 powerful airstrikes targeting Houthi positions, including locations in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and the port city of Mokha in Taiz province. The strikes reportedly caused widespread destruction.<\/p>\n

According to local Yemeni sources and media reports, the airstrikes resulted in numerous civilian deaths and left many others injured. The latest escalation has raised serious concerns about the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen and the potential for further instability across the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The conflict in Yemen has been ongoing since late 2014, when Houthi rebels seized control of the capital, Sanaa. In March 2015, a Saudi-led military coalition intervened in support of Yemen’s internationally recognized government. Since then, the prolonged conflict has caused extensive destruction, widespread displacement, and a severe humanitarian crisis.
