\"\"<\/a>Solapur:<\/strong> Congress MP Praniti Shinde, who represents Solapur in Maharashtra, has addressed speculation about her joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while also sharing her views on the Constitution, political ideology, and her journey in public life.<\/div>\n

In an interview, Shinde clarified that entering politics was not initially part of her plans. However, her experiences in social work made her realize the limitations of reaching people and addressing their concerns without political representation. This realization eventually prompted her to enter electoral politics.<\/p>\n

Praniti Shinde, the daughter of former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, said that before entering politics, her primary interests were community development and social work.<\/p>\n

After studying political science and economics, she earned a law degree and began working to empower women and promote rural development through an organization called “Jaijui.”<\/p>\n

She recalled that when she decided to contest elections for the first time in 2009, even her father was surprised by her decision. However, the overwhelming public support she received encouraged her to pursue politics and gave her social initiatives a new direction.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and her role within the Congress Party, Praniti Shinde emphasized that her loyalty lies with the party and its principles rather than with any particular leader or political faction.<\/p>\n

She stated that the Constitution, secularism, and respect for all religions remain central to her political beliefs.<\/p>\n

Shinde also highlighted the influence of prominent historical figures, including Mahatma Gandhi, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, describing their ideals as the foundation of her personal and political philosophy.<\/p>\n

Addressing rumors that she might join the BJP in 2024, Praniti Shinde revealed that certain individuals had attempted to contact her regarding a possible political switch. However, she maintained that she had never seriously considered leaving the Congress Party.<\/p>\n

Categorically ruling out the possibility of joining the BJP, Shinde reaffirmed her commitment to Congress and its ideology.<\/p>\n

She also emphasized the importance of maintaining voters’ trust, stating that political leaders should never compromise their principles for personal or political gain.<\/p>\n
