\"\"Baghpat:<\/strong> Former Member of Parliament and former President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Thakur Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, launched a scathing attack on the University Grants Commission (UGC) and opposition parties while addressing the Kshatriya Swabhiman Mahasammelan held on the grounds of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Degree College, where he was the chief guest.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the UGC, Singh asserted that it had neither come into existence nor would it come into existence in the future. He also strongly criticized opposition parties, alleging that some political organizations were receiving substantial funding from foreign sources. He claimed that various movements organized by these parties were not independent initiatives but were largely supported by foreign financial assistance.<\/p>\n

Thakur Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh also criticized individuals whom he accused of attempting to divide society. He alleged that certain individuals enjoying Y-plus security were freely misusing social media platforms to spread divisive messages.<\/p>\n

According to Singh, such individuals were deliberately attempting to create divisions within society and undermine social harmony. He urged the government and administrative authorities to take immediate and stringent action against those responsible for spreading hatred and disrupting communal and social unity.<\/p>\n

The former MP emphasized that individuals who misuse their influence, security privileges, or social media platforms to create divisions in society should face appropriate legal consequences.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the country’s political situation, Singh expressed disappointment over the current condition of the Congress party and the functioning of the opposition.<\/p>\n

Taking a sarcastic dig at the Congress leadership, he remarked that the party’s so-called young leaders were now over 55 years old. He argued that India’s development could have progressed even faster if the opposition had fulfilled its responsibilities effectively, constructively, and impartially.<\/p>\n

Criticizing the working style of a prominent opposition leader, Singh alleged that the leader lacked a clear political direction and frequently moved from one issue to another without a consistent policy or vision.<\/p>\n

Recalling his family’s historical association with the Congress party, Singh stated that his grandfather had been elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) on a Congress ticket in 1952. He explained that Congress had maintained a long-standing political connection with his family, making the party’s present condition particularly disappointing to him.<\/p>\n

Despite this historical association, Singh expressed deep concern over what he described as the deterioration of the party’s leadership and political direction.<\/p>\n

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh arrived in Baghpat by helicopter to participate in the Kshatriya Swabhiman Mahasammelan. His helicopter initially landed at a temporary helipad constructed at the farmhouse of local BJP leader Harish Chaudhary.<\/p>\n

Upon his arrival, BJP leaders, party workers, and supporters extended a grand welcome to the former MP. A large gathering of political representatives, community leaders, and local residents attended the event.<\/p>\n

Among those present were BJP leaders Harish Chaudhary and Kartar Gurjar, Bharatiya Kisan Union District President Pratap Gurjar, Naveen Bhati, and Jogendra Pradhan, along with several other prominent local figures and members of the public.<\/p>\n
