Wayanad: IC Balakrishnan, the MLA who was charged with abetment to suicide in the death of Wayanad DCC Treasurer N M Vijayan and his son, has been arrested and released on bail. The arrest was recorded and released because he was on anticipatory bail. IC Balakrishnan is the first accused in the case.
The arrest was made after the interrogation process was completed. IC Balakrishnan’s statement to the investigation team said that no financial transactions had taken place. Meanwhile, the Kalpetta Chief Principal Sessions Court had earlier granted anticipatory bail to the first accused in the case, IC Balakrishnan MLA, DCC President ND Appachan and KK Gopinathan.
