Campaign to make Delhi drug free! Police caught two interstate smack smugglers

New Delhi:  The police has achieved a major success in the campaign being run against drug smugglers active in East Delhi. The Special Staff team has arrested two such smugglers, who were supplying smack under the guise of working as tailors in the border areas. The police have recovered 230 grams of high-quality smack from their possession.

East Delhi DCP Abhishek Dhania said that the arrested accused have been identified as 24-year-old Sahil and 22-year-old Nabi. Both of them were living in Ghaziabad’s Loni area and working as tailors for a long time, but their real business behind this was drug smuggling.

DCP Abhishek Dhania said that the team formed under the leadership of Inspector Jitendra Malik has arrested both the accused from the service road near Anand Vihar bus stand. During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed that they used to work as tailors only for show. The real purpose was to deliver smack to different areas of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The police has now started searching for other people associated with this network.

The DCP said that no criminal record of both the accused has been found so far. Tahir has studied till 9th ​​standard, while Nabi Alam is illiterate. At present, interrogation is going on and the police is trying to find out from where the drugs were being supplied and who else is involved in this.
