Varanasi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has said that Muslims of India are living like hostages in this country. His statement has caused a stir in political and religious circles. Many reactions are coming on this. Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, General Secretary of All India Sant Samiti, has described Owaisi’s statement as having a seditious mentality. He said that Owaisi’s statement is that Muslims are hostages in India, so they should go where they get freedom. Owaisi is educated, he should think about these questions. He said that the Constitution rules here, so it is natural that he will feel hostage. He said that where there is Sharia rule and in India too where there is a Sharia-supporting government, the economic condition of Muslims should be assessed there too. How do the Muslims in the rest of India celebrate their festivals of freedom.
Owaisi said that the minorities of India are no longer even second class citizens. We are hostages. Is it protection to be kidnapped and thrown into Bangladesh? Actually, Union Minister of Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju had written on Instagram that India is the only country where minorities get more facilities and security than the majority. In response to this, Owaisi wrote – Rijiju is the minister of India, not an emperor. He is sitting on the post under the Constitution, not a throne. The rights of minorities are not charity, but fundamental rights. Is it a facility to be called Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Jihadi or Rohingya every day?
After this Rijiju wrote – Okay, then why do minorities from our neighboring countries like to come to India. PM Modi’s schemes are for everyone. Minority affairs schemes give more benefits.
