Ariyalur: ‘Operation Sindoor proved that there is no safe haven for enemies and terrorists who target India. Operation Sindoor showed the world how India will respond if its sovereignty is attacked. The cross-border military strike has instilled a new confidence in the entire country.’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu on Sunday. ‘Aadi Tiruvathirai Utsav’ program was organized at Gangaikonda Cholapuram in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the revered Chola king Rajendra Chola-I. ‘Aadi Tiruvathirai’ is also celebrated as the festival of Thiruvathirai, the birth nakshatra of the king in the Tamil month of Aadi.
PM Modi said, “When I came here from the helipad, the distance of 3-4 km suddenly turned into a road show. Everyone was praising Operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor has created a new awakening, a new self-confidence in the whole country. The world should realize the power of India.” On this occasion, a large number of people had come to listen to the Prime Minister.
Modi further said that the names of Emperor Rajaraja Chola and his son Rajendra Chola-I are synonymous with India’s identity and pride. He announced that their grand statues will be built in Tamil Nadu. He said that these statues will be “modern pillars of our historical awakening”. PM Modi said, while commenting on democracy, many people refer to Britain’s Magna Carta. The ‘Kudavolai system’ of the Chola period is even older than that. The system adopted in the Chola period is more than a thousand years old.
