Delhi government has started a new and digital initiative to make the lives of people easier. Now you will not have to run around government offices for documents like driving license, marriage certificate, birth or caste certificate. Delhi government is going to start a service through which you will be able to do all these tasks sitting at home just through WhatsApp on your mobile.
This service has been named ‘WhatsApp Governance’. Initially, 25 to 30 services will be added to this platform. For this, an AI-powered chatbot has been created which will work in both Hindi and English languages. This chatbot will completely automate the application process by taking information from the user through chat and will coordinate with all the concerned departments. In the coming time, other government services will also be added to this platform.
For which services can one apply?
People will be able to apply for many important documents through this platform, such as:
• Marriage Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Birth Certificate
• Driving License
Apart from this, many other government services will also be gradually brought under this system. This will not only save people’s time but will also provide relief from the long queues and unnecessary running around in government offices.
Although this service has not been launched yet, but as soon as it is started, users will be able to start the application process by sending ‘Hi’ to the chatbot on WhatsApp. After this, the chatbot will send a form to the user in which they will have to fill their information and upload the necessary documents. The entire application will be completed from the mobile itself, and after verification of the documents, they can be downloaded on WhatsApp itself.
With this new digital system, government services will be directly accessible to the people, which is expected to curb corruption as well. Now there will be no need to take help from any middleman or agent. All work will be done directly and transparently on WhatsApp. This will also strengthen the public’s trust in the government system.
this initiative of the Delhi government is going to give a new dimension to digital governance. When this service starts, it can become an example for other states of the country as well. Getting government services through a common and popular app like WhatsApp will definitely prove to be a big relief for the common man.
