Expansion of Machinery Expo is a testament to industrial growth: Minister P Rajeev

Kochi: The expansion of the Machinery Expo is proof that the industry is expanding and modernizing, said Industries, Law and Coir Minister P Rajeev. New machinery is needed in line with industrial development. The aim of the expo is to introduce it to everyone.

He was inaugurating the 7th Machinery Expo organized by the State Industries and Commerce Department at the KINFRA International Exhibition Center in Kakkanad.

The government has taken many positive steps to expand the industry. The necessary steps are being taken to attract investment and are being continuously evaluated. An action plan has been formulated to make the investment promises a reality. Changes have been made in all departments for industrial growth. This will continue, the minister said.

The completion of eight private industrial projects is an achievement in the history of the state. The same pattern is evident in other sectors as well. Seven and a half lakh jobs were created in the MSME sector.

The image of Kerala is changing. The propaganda that there is nothing here and the industrial sector is empty is gone. For Kerala to move forward well. Not only are our youth able to work here, but posts that were working elsewhere are also coming here. Kerala industry is witnessing a revolutionary change. Despite the decline in revenue from the center, Kerala has been able to move forward because of the growth in domestic revenue. This is an indicator of industrial development.
