US has been interfering in other countries for decades to effect regime change: Tulsi Gabbard

Washington:  Tulsi Gabbard, Director of Intelligence Bureau in the Trump Administration, has openly accepted the policy of power change in other countries. She admitted that for decades the US government has been intervening in other countries and bringing about power change, but instead of increasing global security, this policy has increased the number of enemies of America. Tulsi considered ISIS and Al Qaeda as the result of this interventionist policy of America. However, she has also announced the end of this policy under the Trump administration.

Speaking at the Manama Dialogue, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, Gabbard said that this interventionist policy of the US often backfired on Washington. “For decades, our foreign policy has been caught in a pointless and endless cycle of trying to change the regime of other countries, to build that nation,” Gabbard said. “This struggle to overthrow a country’s regime and impose our own system of government has backfired on us. We’ve gained more enemies than allies because of it.”

Tulsi Gabbard, a key member of the Trump administration, acknowledged that the consequences of this policy were devastating. She said, “This policy has resulted in countless lives lost and, in many cases, even greater and more serious security threats.

Praising the vision of US President Donald Trump, Gabbard said that the policy of the United States in Trump’s second term is to promote democracy and focus on global economic prosperity and regional stability. According to Gabbard, this policy of America under Trump’s leadership was also seen during the recent Gaza ceasefire. This includes the end of the ongoing war in Gaza and the US attack on Iran’s nuclear centers, due to which the conflict between Israel and Iran ended.

Gabbard described the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza as still fragile. She acknowledged that China remains a challenge in the Middle East. Citing a report released by the International Atomic Energy Agency, Gabbard said that activity is being observed at Iran’s nuclear facilities, which points to new threats. She said, “The path forward there is not at all easy, but President Trump is very committed to this issue.

Tulsi Gabbard has always been opposed to America’s involvement in other countries’ wars. She even mentioned this during her 2020 presidential campaign. Meanwhile, President Trump has also openly expressed his displeasure with the American Deep State.
