New Delhi : The Vikas Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Gramin) (VB-G Ramji) Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. This bill will replace the UPA-era MNREGA scheme.
Regarding this bill, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh said, “This is a huge betrayal and I want to warn the government that just as you withdrew the three black laws related to farmers, you will have to withdraw this bill as well.” He said that there will be protests across the country against it. “You want to hide your crimes behind the name of this bill.” Many changes have been made to MNREGA and the central government’s new Act besides the name, and opposition parties are opposing this decision of the government.
