Gwalior: The Crime Branch police in Gwalior have busted two fake matrimonial call centers that were defrauding single men in the name of marriage. These call centers were operating in front of the Dwarkadhish Temple in Mayur Nagar and Jyoti Nagar, in the Thatipur police station area. During the operation, police detained 19 women, while the mastermind of the entire gang, Tileshwar Patel, has absconded.

Police investigations have revealed that these call centers have defrauded approximately 1,500 people of lakhs of rupees. Police have seized 45 mobile phones, 12 ATM cards, two computers, SIM cards, bank passbooks, and other electronic equipment. According to police, Rakhi Gaur was operating the Mayur Nagar call center, while Tileshwar alias Dinesh Patel was the real mastermind. Sita alias Sheetal Chauhan was operating the Jyoti Nagar call center.

The investigation revealed that the accused would register young men on fake matrimonial websites. They would then send photos of attractive modeling girls, promising them a perfect match. The women would then call the phones, claiming to be the same girls, and under various pretexts, would send QR codes and obtain money transfers. Once the money was received, they would completely cut off contact.
