History is the witness of history, but today attempts are being made to change it: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi

New Delhi:  Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that history is the witness of history, but today efforts are being made to change it. There is an effort to downplay the achievements of Prime Ministers from other parties and make false claims.

Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the public expects the Prime Minister to be honest and accountable, not to distort history. She also questioned the comments made in Parliament regarding women’s protests and security. The MP said that the Speaker’s statement yesterday was shameful, blaming women for threatening the Prime Minister’s security. It is extremely unfortunate that women are making these allegations. Parliament is the most secure place in the country, and every MP is fully protected here.

Priyanka Chaturvedi further stated that claiming that the Prime Minister’s security is at risk due to women’s protests is completely false. If 33 percent of Parliament is women, as promised in 2029, and they protest, will the Prime Minister attend? Blaming women not only ignores real issues but also undermines the spirit of democracy. Protests and raising voices are democratic rights in a democracy. She condemned attempts to undermine this and blame women. She stated that it is the government’s responsibility to maintain the dignity of Parliament and democratic institutions.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi launched a scathing attack on the central government on Friday, saying that the public has elected PM Modi to power for the third time, and in this third term, they expect him to advance the country’s progress and development in a balanced manner. She said that the Prime Minister repeatedly claims in his speeches that India is poised to become the third largest economy, but if we look at per capita income, the general public is not benefiting from it. Unemployment is at its peak, and the plight of farmers is worrisome. Priyanka Chaturvedi pointed out that a recent order imposed a 0 percent tariff on American products in the agricultural sector, while products exported from India to the US are subject to an 18 percent tariff. She said that such unequal trade decisions are against the interests of farmers. She also mentioned India’s increasing comparisons and diplomatic tensions with neighboring Bangladesh.

Priyanka also expressed concern over the situation in Manipur. She stated that the situation there is dire due to power manipulation and political maneuvering. Despite the imposition of President’s rule, the government has attempted to remain in power through manipulation. She described this as a violation of the democratic process and the rights of the people. She also questioned the central government’s economic policies, trade inequalities, and the unemployment situation. She said that while there are loud claims of development in the country, the benefits are not reaching the common people. The situation of farmers and laborers is dire and requires immediate attention. Balanced development of the country is impossible without addressing issues like women’s safety, farmers’ interests, and unemployment. Speeches and statistics alone will not solve the public’s problems. The people need real change and must feel that the government is working for their welfare.
