Basti (Uttar Pradesh): Jagadguru Rambhadracharya consecrated the idols of Guru Vashisht, Mata Arundhati, Shri Ram, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughan and other deities in his ancestral village Badhni Mishra on Friday at Maharshi Vashisht Ashram Badhni Mishra on the third day of Guru Vashisht Ramayan Katha. Jagadguru Rambhadracharya told former Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra and Basti DM Krittika Jyotsna that Vashisht Dham should be linked with Ayodhya Dham and Vashisht Dham should be linked with tourism. He said that the people of Badhni Mishra are our family, a hut should be built for us at Vashisht Ashram so that whenever I feel like it, I can come and stay in this hut among my family. He said that like Chitrakoot, a branch of Gurukulam should also be opened in Vashisht Dham. Like Vashisht ji, he was sitting with all the four brothers and talking to them.
Acharya Prabhakar Mishra, Neeraj Parasar, Mohitdas, Jitendra Tiwari, Sanjay Tiwari, Harsh Mishra, Hardev Vashishtha, Venu Gopal, Shridhar Adhikari, and Rakesh Agnihotri, under the guidance of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, performed the ritual of consecrating the idols at the Vashishtha Dham temple.
On the third day, elaborating on the story of the Ramayana, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya explained that Lord Rama, along with his brothers, visited the sage Vashishtha’s ashram as a child to receive education, learn the duties of a royal family, and receive training to become the ideal future king of Awadh. Even later in life, Lord Rama remained in constant contact with Vashishtha to resolve any doubts, confusions, or problems he might face. As the royal priest of Lord Rama’s family, Vashishtha had a moral duty to assist the future king. He was one of the seven great sages of India. He recounted numerous incidents from the glory of Lord Vashishtha, imparting a wealth of mythological information to the audience.
On the third day of the Katha, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla also arrived. Organiser Rana Dinesh Pratap Singh, Nagar Panchayat Nagar President Neelam Singh Rana dedicated an amount of Rs 1 lakh 51 thousand for the construction of Gurukul at the feet of the Guru. Chief hosts Chandrabhushan Mishra, Satish Mishra, Shivpujan Srivastava, Shashikant Mishra, Ashutosh Mishra, Sharad Srivastava worshipped the Charan Paduka as per the rituals.
In the cultural evening of Shri Guru Vashishtha Ram Katha, the hymns of Dhanushdhari Chaturvedi mesmerised all the listeners of the Katha pandal, the soulful hymns of fellow artist Satyam Singh made everyone listen to the essence of emotions! Child artists of Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandir Rambag Basti presented a beautiful dance drama on the life journey of Lord Ram. Ram has come to Vashishtha Nagari, child artiste Anshika Maurya, Vaishnavi Mishra, Aarohi Pathak, Aaradhya Tripathi, Shraddha Choudhary, Vaishnavi Mishra, Deepika Chaubey, Ekta Shukla, Rakshita Pandey, Abhya Shukla, Srishti Tiwari, Divyanshi Pandey, Pragya Pandey, Aaradhya Mishra, Avantika Pathak, Aditi Dwivedi, Nidhi Choudhary, Preeti Yadav, Soumya Tripathi, Rachit Pandey, Shreya Shukla, Sheetal, etc. performed.
On the third day of the Katha, organizers Rana Dinesh Pratap Singh, Nagar Panchayat President Smt. Neelam Singh ‘Rana’, BJP District President Vivekanand Mishra, former MLA Dayaram Chaudhary, Raghunath Das Shastri, Brijendra Mishra, Umashankar Mishra, Ashish Mishra, Sudhanshu Mishra, Kesarinandan Mishra, Nitika Tripathi, Brijesh Kumar, Santosh Mishra, Alok Mishra, Vikas Mishra, Sanjay Mishra, Vishal Yadav, Nitish Pandey, Awadhesh Mishra, Master Shiv, along with a large number of devotees were present.
