Abhijit Deep K: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Has Become Donald Trump’s Puppet; Surrendering to Tariff Threats, He Has Sold Out the Nation

Kochi: CJP founder Abhijit Deep K delivered a scathing critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led Central Government. He alleged that Narendra Modi has become a puppet of US President Donald Trump and that instead of defending the country’s interests against America’s tariff threats, the Prime Minister has bowed down out of fear.

Speaking at the event 'Jantar Mantar@Kochi,' Abhijit fiercely condemned the Central Government’s foreign policy, anti-democratic approach, stance on farmers’ protests, and communal politics. He asserted that it is unacceptable for the Prime Minister—who must safeguard the sovereignty and economic interests of the country—to yield to pressures from foreign powers.

Abhijit accused Modi of failing to adopt a firm position in response to the tariff threats raised by President Trump. He ridiculed the Prime Minister, who projects an image of a strong autocrat, for taking weak stances at critical junctures.

He staunchly denied BJP’s allegations that the CJP receives foreign funding, calling such accusations baseless attempts to tarnish their movement. Instead, Abhijit charged that Narendra Modi adopts policies that subjugate the nation’s interests to foreign powers. He further claimed that Modi has sold the country.

Abhijit criticized the Central Government’s attempts to suppress farmer protests and various popular agitations in Delhi. He alleged that the government views citizens’ democratic right to protest as a threat. While authorities deploy power and administrative machinery to control and silence protesters, he insisted that the government cannot eliminate popular struggles. He vowed that the protests would not retreat in the face of repression, but would return stronger than before.

He also alleged that he was imprisoned for merely carrying the national flag and questioned how holding the tricolor—a symbol of pride and unity of the country—could be considered a crime. Abhijit emphasized that no government can stop the expression of respect toward the national flag and commitment to the nation, and that people across India will continue to proudly hoist the tricolor.

Abhijit accused the Central Government of attempting to interfere with voters’ rights and political freedom. He criticized the scenario in which the government tries to dictate to whom voters should cast their ballots, calling it contrary to the fundamental principles of democracy. He affirmed that it is the people who should elect their rulers and no government has authority to control the political decisions of the public.

Mocking Narendra Modi’s political persona of '56-inch chest' bravado, Abhijit said the Prime Minister’s real courage is revealed in his approach to popular struggles. Instead of facing protests, the government’s attempts at suppression demonstrate fear.

He opined that no matter how long Narendra Modi remains in power, he will never match the political legacy or historical stature of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Abhijit issued a sharp critique of politics that divide citizens on religious and caste lines, stating that the people of the country are well aware of those responsible for fostering communal tensions and riots. He accused the government—which should unify and propel the people forward—of maintaining power through divisive politics.

He charged the current government with failing to care sufficiently for the future of children and coming generations. Instead of securing the nation’s future and protecting democratic values, the Central Government is focused on power and political gains.

Predicting the end of Narendra Modi’s tenure with the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, Abhijit said that the people will rise strongly to defend democracy and constitutional values. He affirmed that popular movements will not capitulate in the face of repression and threats.

Abhijit Deep K concluded his speech at the 'Jantar Mantar@Kochi' event with a warning that protests against the Central Government’s policies will intensify.
