Mumbai: Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor has sold his luxury apartment in Juhu, Mumbai. According to registration documents, Shakti Kapoor has sold his 881 sqft (81.84 sqm) apartment located in Juhu’s Silver Beach Haven Co-operative Society for Rs 6.11 crore. The deal was completed in December 2024. A stamp duty of Rs 36.66 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 were paid in this transaction.
Juhu in Mumbai is considered the most prestigious and expensive residential area of the city. The area is famous for its beautiful beach, high-end restaurants and proximity to business hubs Andheri and Bandra. Many Bollywood stars like Varun Dhawan, Madhu Mantena and Sajid Khan also have luxurious apartments in Juhu.
Shakti Kapoor has been one of the most popular villains and comedians of Hindi cinema. In the 1980s and 1990s, he formed a popular comedy trio with Asrani and Kader Khan in more than 100 films. He played memorable roles in hit films like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Chaalbaaz’.
He also received the Filmfare Best Comic Actor Award for ‘Raja Babu’ (1995). Apart from films, he has also been a contestant of ‘Bigg Boss’ in 2011. Recently, there has been a discussion about his daughter Shraddha Kapoor’s career and her films. However, now Shakti Kapoor’s property deal has come into the limelight, due to which it is also being speculated that he is focusing on his future plans. Shakti Kapoor, who once used to appear in every third film, is once again in the news.
