Mumbai : A relief for the accused including actor Nana Patekar in the ‘Me Too’ case filed by actress Tanushree Dutta. Mumbai’s Andheri court has dismissed the case, citing that the deadline for filing the complaint has passed and the reasons behind the delay have not been mentioned .
Tanushree Dutta filed the complaint in 2018, a decade after the alleged incident . As per the law, complaints for such incidents must be filed within three years of the incident. Since the alleged incident took place on March 23, 2008, the court ruled that the complaint filed in 2018 could not be entertained as it was seven years after the prescribed time limit.

The case was filed by the three accused on March 23 , 2008 , alleging that they had behaved inappropriately during the filming of a film and song , and later became a topic of discussion in the MeToo allegations of 2019 .
