There will be catastrophic rain in these districts of UP on August 16; Big alert issued by Meteorological Department

According to the Meteorological Department, on August 16, moderate to heavy rain may occur at one or two places in those districts of western Uttar Pradesh which are adjacent to the border of Uttarakhand.

The series of rains continues in Uttar Pradesh. Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of the Indian Meteorological Department Lucknow Center, said that there is very little possibility of heavy rain in the state for the next three to four days. During this time, only light showers will occur at some places. This will definitely give people some relief from the scorching heat and humidity.

This change in weather has come due to a low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal. This system has crossed the coast of southern Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh and has moved ahead. Due to this, the monsoon line has shifted southwards from its normal position. When the monsoon line is towards the north, the scope of rainfall increases, but when it shifts towards the south, the rainfall becomes limited.

According to the Meteorological Department, on August 16, moderate to heavy rain may occur at one or two places in those districts of western Uttar Pradesh which are adjacent to the border of Uttarakhand. Only light or sporadic rain is expected in the rest of the state. This means that the activity of monsoon will be limited during this period.
