Anand | Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a big dent in the stronghold of Gujarat state Congress chief Amit Chavda. Under AAP’s Gujarat Jodo Abhiyan, more than 150 Congress workers left their hands and took up brooms. Among those who joined AAP was Anand District Congress General Secretary Vijay Baraiya, who was angry at not being allowed entry during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Anand and District Congress General Secretary Vijay Baraiya had resigned from Congress. After this, in the Gujarat Jodo public meeting of Aam Aadmi Party held in Anand, he joined Aam Aadmi Party along with his more than 150 supporters, leaving a void in Congress in Tarapur constituency.
In Anand, Gujarat state Aam Aadmi Party General Secretary Manoj Sorathia welcomed more than 150 workers including Vijay Baraiya into the party by making them wear the Aam Aadmi Party’s turban. Workers from Umreth and Hadgud also joined Aam Aadmi Party.
